Writing Workshops

The Michael King Writers’ Centre holds workshops for writers from time to time.

Workshops for young writers 2010

A series of workshops for young writers are being held in March 2010.

The workshops are held on Sunday afternoons in Devonport. The participants are selected through North Shore secondary schools, although spaces may be available to other young writers by application.

These workshops are offered with the support of the North Shore City Council Creative Communities Scheme.

Residential workshop

A residential workshop about writing history and biography was held over Labour weekend in October 2009. Plans are being developed for further residential workshops in future.

Workshops for adult writers

Plans are currently being developed for workshops for adult writers. Information will be posted when it is available.
